Soccer Saturday is where most of us get a football fix for the week, the most football games in the world are played on this day, so plenty of chances to make some money.
Dortmund over 4.5 Corners v Leverkusen @ 1.72 (Bet365) – 3 points
Dortmund over 1.5 Goals v Leverkusen @ 1.67 (Bet365) – 3 points
Germany Bundesliga is back in action this weekend with Borussia Dortmund in unbeatable form at this stage, losing just 1 game this season and smashing goals all over the pitch for fun. With the likes of Demeble, Aubamayeng, Gotze, Schurrle and Kagawa. Their scintillating scoring form has seen them smashing goals for fun with 23 goals in 7 games so far which has been truly entertaining for the fans and propelled them to 2nd position in the league. Defensively Dortmund have been shaky conceding goals in 7 out of 9 games so far, so for that case they have to go ahead and push this reason for more goals.
Dortmund have been pushing their opponents non-stop with their great speed and counter-attacking football. This has seen them push on a lot of corners as defences do not want to give them a straight run on the target. Dortmund because of that have been averaging over 7 corners this season in the league with 15-3-12-7-7. When they entered the Champions League they hit 6 corners against Real Madrid and 7 against Legia Warsaw. I am expecting Dortmund to romp to these corners given the service from Dembele, Schurrle, Schmelzer and Pizscek of the wide positions.
Leverkusen have been struggling with just 1 victory in 5 in all competitions, which showcases their struggles that they have been facing. Leaking goals in all games bar a 0-0 game with Augsburg which will leave the Dortmund team licking their lips ahead of this game. Leverkusen will need to try and keep it tight at the back given they face top scoring Aubamayeng this game, and I expect them to push a lot of balls away from the goal to the corners.
Swansea come into this game against Liverpool with a lot of pressure on them with just 1 win and 1 draw from 6 games so far and their biggest struggles has been coming on the defensive end where they have conceded an average of 2 goals per season. The loss of Ashley Williams at the back has left them short of a leader and a captain who used to marshall the troops to keeping the defence tight and trying to win by the odd goal. Swansea have some goal threat coming with the likes of Llorente, Baston, Sigurdsson and Fer who have been leading the line for them. They have managed to find the back of the net in 4 out of the 6 games played in the league as well as in both EFL Cup games, so they have been decent offensively.
Liverpool will come out attacking, so it will be tough for Swansea to keep it tight given that Liverpool have scored 16 goals in their 6 games so far. The offensive unit led by Sturridge, Firmino, Coutinho, Mane and penalty taking Milner has seen them result in these many goals. The team are very entertaining with their speed on the counter-attack that has seen them hit 5 goals against Hull, 2 against Chelsea, 4 against Leicester and 4 against Arsenal to showcase their talent. Defensively Liverpool are in a spot of bother, unable to put on a strong lineup of talent that would help them keep a clean sheet. This season they have kept ZERO CLEAN SHEETS this campaign in the league, leaking goals in every game, shipping 9 goals in their 6 games so far. Clop has not yet found is right side, so he keeps chopping and changing the team until he finds the right combination and with Swansea always finding the back of the net in their home games barring Hull, I expect them to score against this struggling Liverpool today also.
I am backing lots of goals in this game, so taking Over 3 goals in the Asian Goal Line market.
West Ham will look to turn around their poor form where they have been struggling and now sitting in 18th spot in the table, and this from a side who almost qualified for the Europa League last season. The Hammers have a lot of reliance on Dimitri Payet to deliver the goods along with Michail Antonio; and aside from that they have been doing absolutely nothing. Last week’s game against Southampton showcased their poor defensive efforts where they have now conceded 16 goals in 6 games so far. West Ham will have to rely on their teams fighting spirit in this time where should they not pick up a positive result here, it could see their manager Slaven Bilic get sacked. West Ham have scored in 5 out of 6 games played so far, with just 1 game landing below the 2 goal mark.
Middlesbrough have been averaging a goal per game with 6 goals in 6 games, and that has been their biggest struggle where no one has stood up to take accountability on the goal scoring front. Yes they have players like Rhodes, Stuani, Ramirez and Negredo; but none of them have delivered consistently to show that this team deserves to be there in the Premier League for next campaign. Middlesbrough games have honestly been entertaining so far, with just 1 game being a blank game and every other landing up for a minimum of 2 goals in those encounters. Boro have found the back of the net in 5 out of 6 games so far, even against a good Tottenham defence, so they will have confidence in this game to score against West Ham.
This looks to be an entertaining fixture between 2 struggling defensive units, so I am backing goals here, with over 2,2.5 goals on the Asian Markets.
Newcastle looking to maintain their great form this season with them sitting in 3rd spot with 19 points out of a possible 30 this campaign. Their form has improved in recent weeks which has seen them make strides up the table and even stole a late winner against Norwich after the 90th minute seeing them come back from 3-2 to win the game 4-3. They are the divisions top scorers with 21 goals from 10 games, and its no surprise given the selection of their forwards with Perez, Mitrovic and Gayle along with the midfield support from Shelvey, Gouffran and Diame who have been providing good service along with finding the back of the net themselves. Defensively its been a mixed bag as they have conceded 10 goals including 3 in mid-week against Norwich, 1 late last week against Aston Villa and 2 against Wolves the week before; all of whom are title rivals.
Taking on Rotherham in this came, Newcastle will believe they have a good chance to strike goals against a team that is rock bottom in the division conceding 24 goals in 10 games played so far. They have almost managed to find the back of the net, and that has seen high scoring games in the division with 9 out of their 10 games this campaign seeing the 3 goal mark being breached. They struggled against teams similar Newcastle in conceding goals like Aston Villa (3 goals), Brighton (3 goals), Huddersfield (2 goals) and Bristol (2 goals).
With the confidence through the side of Newcastle, they will be aiming to turn their boat around in this encounter by smashing a few goals in and with no goals for the next 2 weeks, they will want to smash in as many as they can to go into the international break on a high. I am backing over 2.5 goals in this encounter.
