Super Saturday is the day most of the world are sitting at home, extremely chilled an looking to make their next profits by diving through the world of football. I have short listed a few picks that could hopefully be that answer.
England Premier League
Tottenham Win/Over 2.5 Goals v Sunderland @ 1.90 (Bet365) – 2.5 points
Tottenham 1st Goal before 80 Mins @ 1.50 (Bet365) – 3 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)
Tottenham looked like they were run ragged in mid-week against Monaco, and a lot of that has to do with their struggles on the defensive end where they have conceded in 3 out of their 5 games. Pochettino’s men will know that this encounter against Sunderland will be a great opportunity to get the entire squad back to scoring and winning form. Tottenham expected to field a full strength squad with Danny Rose set to miss out. I expect Tottenham to unleash the full strength of their offence with Ali, Lamela, Eriksen and Kane up front with Sissoko possibly make his debut off the bench sometime in the 2nd half. Tottenham have dominated this match up in front of their home fans winning 4-1; 2-1; 5-1 in their last 3 meetings, and will be expected to put on a similar performance tonight.
Sunderland have been struggling this campaign losing 3 out of the 4 games played so far, with just a 1-1 against Southampton being the only point that they have nabbed so far. When they travel to Tottenham, they know they will be facing a wounded animal looking for revenge and a goal festival ahead of this encounter. Sunderland will have to rely a lot on Jermain Defoe up front to find the back of the net, but if last weeks performance is anything to go by, Sunderland have a lot to work on in order to survive this season. It’s difficult to see where Sunderland will keep a clean sheet from, and if they have enough fire power to outmuscle the opponents.
I am expecting Tottenham to put in a cracking performance, and backing this game to be high scoring one, Tottenham & over 2.5 goals is my pick for this game.
Juventus have been in strong form to kick off the Italian Serie A season with 3 wins out of 3 to begin the campaign. Their defence has been a bit shaky getting all the new faces in the midfield adjusted to playing in the system, which should improve as the season moves forward. Juventus showcased some of their great talents in the 2 games they played last week having a 3-1 win against Sassuolo while drawing a 0-0 against Sevilla. Against Sevilla the intensity put into the game was quite late to make an impact, but Juventus showcased a strong showing in that encounter to unlucky be denied by the Sevilla keeper. Gonzalo Higuain will be expected to get back on his bike and deliver a scoring performance today in the Derby D’Italia against Inter Milan.
Inter Milan have been atrocious lately and those struggles might continue int his game against Juventus. They lost their 1st game, drew their 2nd game and then literally stole a win against a weak Pescara team who were leading the game till the 80th minute mark. In mid-week in the Europa League; they were absolutely rubbish losing 2-0 in front of their home fans. The team has been struggling to keep it tight at the back, conceding in every single game played so far, which won’t bode confidence when the champions travel to town.
Juventus look extremely good after they have beaten Inter in 2 out of their last 3 meetings, but this Juventus team looks even stronger than the one last year; and I expect them to walk from this game with all 3 points.
Sassuolo come into this encounter against Genoa after a strong win against Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in mid-week and that confidence will help the team ahead of this game against one of their rivals of the mid-table in Genoa. Sassuolo have actually won 2 out of their 3 Serie A games so far, but one ruled out due to an ineligible player, but will want to get back to fixing that with another victory in front of their home fans this week. They will rely on the likes of Berardi, Matri and Defrel to get a big chunk of their goals that they have netted last season. They were lucky not to have Athletic Bilbao to score against them last week, despite several good attempts on goal; and I expect their defence struggles to continue where they conceded in 2 out of the 3 games played so far.
Genoa have gotten off this season to a rollicking start winning both of their games played so far beating Cagliari and Crotone, and the confidence that comes out of 2 wins will flow through the squad as they aim to face Sassuolo in this game. Genoa have been in good scoring form netting 6 goals in their 2 games so far, with Pavoletti leading the line with 2 goals. The team has put on a full effort as they were 1-0 down against Cagliari before they rallied together to win 3-1 with their bench coming into full effort.
Both teams have good offences and will be looking to push on for many goals in this encounter to snatch an early victory. Both teams to score have landed in 4 out of the last 5 games between the 2 sides, and I expect that to be the same result in this encounter.
One of my favourite teams to bet on in the world with a good chance of bets landing is Porto B from the Segunda division. This team is generally been the architect for the development of players for the Porto first team. Last year Porto B won the division by scoring 84 goals in 46 games played while also conceding 52 goals on the defensive end. Porto B top scorer Andre Silva has now broken into the first team and started out the new season scoring goals for the team. Ismael Diaz still stays from the last seasons team while Varela and Galeno have started out the season netting 4 goals between them. Porto’s 5 games have so far season 14 goals already, 7 for and 7 against; and this entertainment should continue once again as they welcome Penafiel this weekend.
Penafiel travel away to Porto knowing that victory can move them up potentially to 2nd spot in the table. They have relied largely on a team effort to see them progress till here. They have scored 6 and concede 4 goals in their games so far. Last year they finished 12th in the table with average of 2 goals per game. When took on Porto last year, both of their games landed up with a minimum of 2 goals while Porto won 3-1 at this same matchup last season.
Porto B have been a strong team in the scoring department, while their defence has been also largely developing, and thereby conceding goals. I expect this to be another goal fest game; so I am backing over 2,2.5 Asian goal Line.
Celtic will want to put away a brutal Champions League outing from their minds in order to focus on domestic affairs where they have been on a great run of form winning all 4 of their games played so far. Celtic have been rampant in their form winning 2-1; 4-2; 4-1 and 5-1 over the term so far with Scott Sinclair (4 goals), Moussa Dembele (3 goals) and Forrest (3 goals) have been leading the line. Their leading scorer Griffiths is expected to make his first start for the team in this game, and that will only add to their rampant scoring as the season goes on.
Inverness are sitting rock bottom of the Scottish Premier League with just 4 points from a possible 15 until now. Despite that they have still found a way to put the ball in the back of the net, scoring in 4 out of those 5 games. Ross Draper has been the hero for them with 3 goals so far, but will face a different kettle of fish when he takes on this Celtic side, who he failed to score against them in previous few outings. Defensively they have struggled in their games so far letting in 12 goals; and against tonight’s opponents Celtic they have let in 15 goals in their last 4 meetings itself.
Celtic have been the more dominant side and have romped to victory by a minimum of 2 goals in their last 4 meetings, and I expect more of the same to come in today’s game.
Heracles v Ajax – Over 1 Asian Goal Line @ 1.67 (Bet365) – 3 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)
