The England Premier League is back, and we look at some opportunities to make some money backing some markets that are untapped and early on before the odds value crashes.
Leicester City come into this season as the defending champions looking to start of their campaign in flying fashion and are actually the first team to kick off the new season. They had a mixed pre-season so far, but put in some good performance especially in their last 2 games against Barcelona and Manchester United, scoring in both of them, but unfortunately conceding to go behind. They will feel relatively confident coming into this fixture after just losing 1 of their starters in Kante out, but the rest of the squad is in tact, with additional signings of Musa, Kapustaka, Ziegler and Mendy. Riyad Mahrez hasn’t put the news of a potential transfer behind him yet, but come 13th August; you can be sure he will be ready and focussed to deliver a performance. Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy have looked strong in midseason and will be licking their lips seeing the depleted Hull defence.
Hull City come into this season as the worst prepared side in the division. They have been rumoured to be sold by the Allam Family for months, but that hasn’t gone through. Manager Steve Bruce had resigned because of lack of funding to secure transfers to bolster the squad ahead of a Premier League campaign, while they have lost Aluko and Diame out to other clubs. Keeper Allan McGregor; defenders Michael Dawson, Alex Bruce, Harry Maguire; midfielders Moses Odubajo, Shaun Maloney have all been out injured and will probably not start the first fixture of the new season. With no new signings, this will put a lot of strain on the defenders to mix and match; while finding enough fit players to even take up the bench will be a challenge. Mike Phelan will take charge in the dugout and his record even during his time at Norwich is nothing to be proud about.
Leicester look much more prepared than Hull coming into this game, and I would grab these odds at the earliest for a win, as they should grab a win here.
