The second international tournament out of 3 this summer will begin in France, which is EURO 2016. This tournament generally is considered one of the best tournaments around the world, on par with the World Cup in the eyes of many, as it has most of the top teams in the world.

England to beat Slovakia  @ 1.78 (888Sport) – 3 points
England v Slovakia – Over 2 Asian Goal Line @ 1.76 (888Sport) – 2 points

England finally showed glimpses of the form that got them to these Euros with a great second half comeback against Wales winning the game 2-1 with a stoppage time winner. The England manager Roy Hodgson realised the big mistake he made leaving out Jamie Vardy, who was the top striker for Premier league champions Leicester, who had shown consistent form through the season and he rewarded him with a goal within 15 minutes. England will also rely on Wayne Rooney in particular to control the match, much like he did in both the games they have played so far, so Hodgson will rue subbing him out early in the game against Russia which costed them. The English defence were quite stable for the game against Wales, and a brilliant free-kick from Gareth Bale was the only moment that was able to beat Joe Hart.

Slovakia came into the tournament as one of the favourites to get out of this group and were able to put in a solid performance against Wales, but were beaten by a moment of magic. They were able to beat the Russians, although the Russian defence were half asleep coming into that encounter. The team has over-relied on Marek Hamsik to deliver the goods, and luckily for them it prevailed in the last game. Slovakia’s defence have shown to be vulnerable conceding in 5 out of their last 6 games; and that will be something that England will look into in order to try and exploit.

England will be buoyed by their late performance last time around, and know that they need to win in order to top the group to face an easier team in the next round. A draw will not be enough, as it means Wales could beat Russia and over-take them. I expect England to put in a solid performance and beat Slovakia; but we could see some goals in this game.

Wales DNB to beat Russia @ 2.15 (Bet365) – 2 points

Wales have had a great return to an international tournament with 2 great performances, a 2-1 win over Slovakia and a 2-1 loss against England. Both of those games showcased the great talent that this Welsh team has but mainly because of the class of the World’s Most Expensive Player Gareth Bale. Bale has scored 2 out of the 3 goals that the team has scored, and he has been instrumental in leading this team to this position where a draw will seal their spot in the knockout stages of this tournament. The defence of Wales has been shaky with Ashley Williams being the only reliable defender at the back. The team relied more on their defence to get them to this position, conceding only 4 goals in qualifying and the team will need to be  more solid at the back to deliver the point they need.

The Russians have struggled offensively with 2 goals in the 2 games coming very late in games, but that has not helped their cause. They have struggled to put the front foot forward in any of the games, and when they have played front, it leaves spaces in between for the opposition to counter attack. The Russian defence has been absolutely horrible coming into this match, conceding in 5 straight games coming into this encounter, with 10 goals being conceded in that time. The main reason is the slow aged defenders that they have, which players like Bale, Ramsey, Robson-Kanu can take an advantage of.

With Russia showing little moving forward, and the Welsh determined to play well and progress to the next round, its worth backing Wales Draw No Bet to try and beat the Russians, and in the worst case scenario, you get your money back, if its a draw.
