The second international tournament out of 3 this summer will begin in France, which is EURO 2016. This tournament generally is considered one of the best tournaments around the world, on par with the World Cup in the eyes of many, as it has most of the top teams in the world.

England v Wales – Both to Score @ 2.23 (888Sport) – 2 points

England come into this game against Wales with their continued leaky defence not being able to keep it tight at the back, and conceded in the 92nd minute in order to draw a winning game against Russia. What made it more evident is that the English defence is leaky, to see where they have eased goals in 5 out of the 6 games that they have played in 2016, with the lone exception being against Portugal who were down to 10 men early on. With the slow pace of Cahill and the full backs in Walker and Rose bombing forward, it leaves spaces open for their opponents to try and score. The offence of England look lacklustre at times, with a lot of opportunities, but poor finishing costed them the 3 points. England are under full pressure in this encounter, and definitely have to be on the front foot especially since Slovakia and Wales already have 3 points each. I expect England to start with Vardy and Kane up front, to try and give that impetus for England up front and play with a 4 diamond midfield formation with Rooney at the top of the diamond.

Wales are in dream land after getting 3 points in their last encounter against Slovakia and know that all they would need would be a draw against England going into their last game against Russia, with their destiny in their hands. Wales however have a lot of players who currently play in England, and will have plenty of insight and knowledge of the players coming into this encounter. Wales will be led by Gareth Bale up front, who already netted at the back of the net in the opening encounter from a gorgeous free-kick and England will have to be vary of his pace and danger from set pieces. Wales have developed well as time has passed as a strong work ethic and team work. With players like Bale, Ramsey, Allen, Williams they have some good quality players who will give England a tough time in this encounter. While Wales have shown some defensive liabilities conceding in 5 straight games and that might definitely show how they leak goals.

England will be on the front foot for most of this game, but their need for a goal, will definitely see them play more forward that could leave opportunities for Wales to break on the counter attack. I am backing Both Teams To Score in this game between England & Wales.

Germany v Poland – Both to Score @ 1.92 (888Sport) – 2.5 points

Germany won their last encounter by a score of 2-0 against Ukraine but showed a lot of defensive liabilities and it was only due to the poor finishing of the Ukrainians that stopped them from scoring against Germany. The Germans have conceded goals now in 8 out of their last 10 matches. The exception of the match against Hungary and Ukraine was the only one they kept clean sheets. The German attack has relied a lot on Thomas Muller, but he was well contained and was relatively flat throughout the game. They relied on a moment of magic from a set piece to deliver the goods for them. The attack in Draxler, Ozil, Muller and Gotze will need to step up and deliver an offensive performance on a Germany team that has kept them quite in 2 out of their last 3 head to head matches.

The Polish played well during their last encounter against Northern Ireland, and were unlucky to win by just the 1 goal as they missed a hat full of chances to increase their lead. They will come into this game with Milik in form with that goal while Lewandowski had good amount of chances, but will need to improve upon his finishing. Poland will be confident coming into this fixture after scoring against Germany in 3 out of their last 4 meetings together. They will know that whoever wins this game is likely to top the group, so both of them will be going for the juggernaut in this one. Poland have scored in 10 out of their last 11 games, showcasing the offensive power they have to deliver a goal.

Germany and Poland played an exciting 3-1 game with a German win back in September last year in the qualifying campaign, so these 2 sides have seen each other well. I expect both teams to score between Germany and Poland as both teams will look to attack the opponents defences and win this game.
