With the FA Cup back in action this weekend in England; there are a lot of teams who will be looking to take this competition seriously, and I expect games involving the top teams to see a lot of goals in them.
West Ham are hosting Man United in what will be the final FA Cup encounter at the Boleyn Ground and the atmosphere should be truly rocking for all to view. West Ham are high on confidence after almost beating Arsenal on the weekend, with a tight 3-3 draw. Payet, Antonio, Carroll in particular all had superb run outs, and there might be a good chance that Carroll will look to start taking on the high crossed balls against a Man United defence. West Ham have been unbeaten in their last 10 encounters that they have played in and will continue to deliver the strong performance and they could progress to the next round if they continue delivering the way they have. West Ham have struggled defensively though, conceding goals in 5 straight games in a row; which can be their achilles heel and Bilic will need to focus all his efforts on keeping a clean sheet.
Man United have been struggling and it was clearly evident by their 3-0 thrashing by Tottenham in a span of 5 minutes. They were beaten on the counter attack for most of their goals that they have conceded, which can be difficult against the quick West Ham team with Payet, Lanzini and Antonio. Man United’s struggle has also been through the midfield with the slower Carrick and Mata which slow the pace and let the oppositions attack them. Wayne Rooney will probably make a start in this game ahead of Rashford, which will give some experience to this Man United team which they have been missing for a while. Defensively is where Man United struggled, leaking in 6 out of their last 8 away games, while losing in 5 of them.
Just like the first encounter between the 2 sides, I expect it to be a tight game, but I think the home support and momentum is with West Ham, so I would back the Hammers with the Draw No Bet as insurance.
