Soccer Saturday is where most of us get a football fix for the week, the most football games in the world are played on this day, so plenty of chances to make some money.
Juventus will feel things are riding well for them after Napoli slipped last weekend, and they took a win to secure a 6 point lead at the top of the table. Juventus will feel that now the title is for them to lose especially with this lead, and can add more pressure on Napoli with a 9 point lead as they play only on Sunday.
Juventus have lost just 1 game so far since 31st October 2015 which was a dead rubber against Sevilla, and will now be looking forward to posting another victory tonight against Milan. Pogba, Morata, Dybala, Mandzukic and Cuadrado give this team a lot of firepower up front. They frequently rotate among the strikers to give freshness and motivation to the strikers and that has kept them on their winning run as well. They have played well defensively and were unlucky to lose against Bayern in the Champions League, but will want to seal up this title early. Khedira who was their defensive midfield lynchpin is injured which means Marchisio has to do some extra defensive dirty work for them. Since 10th of January, they have only conceded 1 goal in the league, and I expect this form to continue for Juve.
Milan have been struggling since March turned over, as they have failed to win in their last 4 outings. They have lost to Sassuolo and Atalanta while drawing to Chievo and Lazio which showcases their poor struggles in recent times. Defensively they have shown weaknesses against teams who play well on the counter attack and are willing to take games to their defensive. Juventus will be out to push out for maximum wins and beating of their opponents after dropping out from the Champions League; so Milan could feel a big wrath coming on. Adriano and Bacca have been struggling up front with just 2 goals during this time. The only way your going to beat Juventus is finding the back of the net, and it is difficult to see where goals are going to come from for Milan against this strong Juventus defensive unit who are difficult to break down.
I am going heavy on a Juventus win, but in case Milan somehow find a way to draw, I will take the insurance with the Asian Handicap for some cover.
West Ham and Arsenal will battle out in a tough encounter which even might decide the fate of the 4th spot in the Premier League as Man City, Man Utd and the Hammers are battling it out for that spot and are separated by 3 points. With the Hammers taking on Arsenal in the early kick off, it might put pressure on the other teams.
West Ham have been the most enjoyable team to watch in the Premier League after Leicester City. The flair and poise they showcase on the attacking side with a bunch of relatively unknown players (except Payet), have showcased what a great manager Slaven Bilic is. The Croatian Manager will look to push for Champions League football for the Hammers next season at the Olympic Stadium and victory in the last last London Derby at the Boleyn Ground will give the fans something to celebrate. West Ham have made no bones about their attacking instinct netting 2 goals in each of their last 3 games against Everton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Key to that success has been Dimitri Payet who has been creating the opportunities for his team mates as well as scoring from set pieces. He also has Lanzini, Antonio, Emenike and Sakho to provide him with additional attacking support. Defensively with numerous injuries, they have look vulnerable and against an Arsenal side who are pushing the pressure to try and come 2nd, they will continue to leak goals.
Arsenal had struggled after losing in the Champions League and FA Cup, but bounced back with 2 solid victories against Watford and Everton and will now look to take this away from against the Hammers to try and beat them after losing earlier in the season by a 2-0 scoreline. Arsenal will feel better now that Ozil, Sanchez and Welbeck are back in good form and scoring regularly also which helps their consistency going forward as they struggled in games against Hull, Watford, Tottenham and Swansea game which happened over the past 2 months. Arsenal defensive woes have been seen particularly with Ospina in goal since Cech got injured, and with the skill of the Hammers offensive unit, I expect them to concede at least a goal against the Hammers.
Forget Tottenham v Man Utd, this game has the makings of the game of the weekend and its a pity its the first game of the weekend. I expect over 2.5 goals in this game, and thats the way to get into this game.
Bournemouth will be looking to secure a victory after a couple of defeats over their last 2 games getting smashed 3-0 by Tottenham and 4-0 by Manchester City; which were far heavier defeats than anyone actually thought. They will look to get back to winning ways against Aston Villa who are guaranteed relegation in my eyes and today could be the final nail in the coffin.
Bournemouth will look to their strikers King, Murray and Grabban to help them up front in their goals especially with Afobe now injured. Bournemouth have played well for most of the campaign and if you take their last 7 games away from home, they have lost just 1 to Tottenham while managing to beat Newcastle, Palace, Portsmouth, Birmingham City while drawing against Sunderland, Watford and Leicester City. They look far stronger by their style of play, and will be looking to jump on Aston Villa early on to win reach that magical 40 points barrier to ensure safety.
Aston Villa have been feeling the wrath of everyone losing 7 straight games coming into this encounter, and most of those games have been by at least a 2 goal margin. They have not showed any defensive ability having conceded shipping 22 goals in those 7 games. They keep changing their back line with no discipline, and they have failed to even score goals up front netting only 22 goals in 32 games, and that has been another issue for them. Their caretaker manager Black has not won a single game during his caretakership, and I expect another loss coming from him today.
Bournemouth will try to push hard especially a lot of players will be motivated to hang on to their contracts for next season to stay on the books, so I expect a strong spirited performance from Bournemouth tonight.
