As Super Sunday arrives, many top leagues around the world have football action happening, so we aim to look at some good opportunities to make profit in them.
West Ham are looking in a decent form losing just 2 games in all competitions since 29th of November, and winning this competition is something that Slaven Bilic is quite motivated to do and bring a final trophy to West Ham before they move on. Billic have a few injuries to content with but he will with Lanzini, Emenike and Payet to start up front giving them a strong attack up front to try and boost them for victory. West Ham will also start with Darren Randolph who has kept 2 clean sheets from the 3 games that they have played so far. West Ham will know that losing the game is not an option, so they will do their best to ensure at worst a replay is played. West Ham will want to try and get to the finals so that they can ensure they get European season under them when they move to the new stadium at Olympic Park next season.
Blackburn have been struggling in the league now sitting in 19th spot in the table, and survival will be the top priority as they would need to start making the climb back up to the Premier League the following season. They have been struggling for form in the Championship winning just 1 game out of their last 10; which showcases the struggles that they have gone through. They sold their top scoring forward Jordan Rhodes and need to now rely on forwards like Chris Brown, Simeon Jackson and the highest scorer on the team squad is 2 goals, so goals have been a struggle to come by.
West Ham are the stronger team on paper, especially they will put in a good shift on the defensive end, and will need some flair players to carry them through. I back the Hammers to take this on the Asian line.
England FA Cup
Tottenham AH-1 to beat Palace @ 2.02 (888Sport) – 2.5 points
Spurs v Palace – Kane Anytime Scorer @ 2.02 (888Sport) – 2 points
Harry Kane was well rested in mid-week in the Europa League, making a brief 20 minute appearance in the Europa League and that was done keeping this FA Cup tie in mind. Tottenham had rested other key players like Dier, Rose, Walker, Loris ahead of this encounter as they will aim to build a strong cup run under Pochettino. The Spurs manager would like to build a strong Cup run heading towards the end of the season with a chance of a trophy this year. His team are in great form winning 7 out of their last 8 games, with the draw in mid-week as the only non-victory. Dele Alli, Nacer Chadli, Erik Lamela, Eriksen have all been in great form offensively, that is helping Spurs. Their creativity will be key towards pushing Spurs for a win as they will aim to create chances for Harry Kane to continue his good goal scoring form. Kane has netted 5 goals in this run of 8 games unbeaten, and will aim to continue that against Palace today.
Palace have been struggling in the League as they haven’t won a game in their last 9 encounters which is dragging them towards the lower half of the table. Their 2 FA Cup games were the only 2 victories they have had over the past 8 weeks. Defensively Palace are all over the place, leaking goals in 7 out of those 9 games, with the other 2 being stalemates. Pardew might rotate his squad to keep the team fresh for the key battles over the next 2 weeks against West Brom and Sunderland, with the 6 points could get them within 2 of the magical 40 point mark.
Harry has been in form and that was seen in the 3-1 thrashing that Tottenham gave Palace a few weeks ago, and I expect Harry to continue his scoring form.
Roma come into this game on the back of a 4 game winning streak in the Serie A and a strong performance against Real Madrid that unfortunately still had them lose by a score of 2-0 in front of their home fans. Roma will have to keep that Champions League game out of their mind and go out to smash Palermo in this encounter. Dzeko, Salah, el Sharaawy have been a good front 3 contributing to free flowing attacking football as was seen against Madrid and also from the fact Roma have won and scored at least 2 goals in each of the 4 games that they have won. Defensively is where Roma need to improve a little and the Palermo side they face today might put up a fight.
Palermo are lucky not to be in the relegation zone at this time, but have been struggling with just 1 victory in their last 6 games including struggles at home against Milan and Torino. Palermo have found the back of the net in 4 out of those last 5 games, and are pushing opponents to the brink despite them not securing their results. Confidence is a bit low among the squad with a lot of changing managers and rotating players, so I don’t expect them being able to come out with a victory against a strong Roma side, who will be looking for blood.
In their first meeting this season, Roma won by a score of 4-2; and will aim for a similar sort of goal scoring effort in this encounter and win this game with 3 goal scoring in the match.
