Soccer Saturday is where most of us get a football fix for the week, the most football games in the world are played on this day, so plenty of chances to make some money.
ENGLAND FA Cup
Bournemouth v Everton – Over 2.5 goals @ 1.80 (Bet365) – 2.5 points
Everton Race to 7 corners @ 1.75 (Bet365) – 2 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)
Everton are looking in good form especially in the last 3 out of the last 4 weeks winning those 3 games in by a score of 3-0 against Carlisle, Stoke and Newcastle. Last time around they got upset majorly against West Brom with so many shooting opportunities and shots on target, but unable to penetrate the backline of West Brom. Martinez would have given the sides a solid rollicking after the last game for them to shape up for this FA Cup game, as its the only competition that they have going for them. I expect Everton to field a full strength squad in this game, especially since they had a one week rest and have another 10 days off before their next game. Lukaku, Barkley, Kone and Dueloefeu will be expected to start the game and attack from the beginning itself.
Bournemouth have a little bit to worry on the relegation zone but on the same hand cup success will bring confidence to the side heading into the late stages of the league. Eddie Howe is expected to field nearly a full strength squad with hit-man Benik Afobe who is in good scoring form, will be expected to start up front. Bournemouth offensively have always shown signs of scoring knocking in goals in 7 out of their last 8 games including against good sides like West Ham and Stoke City. They will know that they can counter attack with pace against the Toffees who have been a bit shaky at the back. Tim Howard will not be at the back as I expect Joel Robles to continue between the sticks and integrate him for the long run as Tim Howard is expected to leave in the summer.
This game should be an exciting one especially after we looked at their 3-3 high scoring encounter in late November, and this game also should see both teams scoring but you could even have Everton running away with it considering this is a priority for them also. I am going on overs on the goals in this encounter.
PSG looked in great form on the weekend against Chelsea at home winning by a score of 2-1; but should have scored even more to have pushed on for a 3-1 victory probably. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and di Maria look good, and with Cavani potentially starting this game, I expect them to go for a smash and grab in this one especially with a 9 day rest coming before their next encounter. Defensively, PSG have been quite sound and have been in top offensive form winning 7 out of their last 8 games at home by a minimum of a 2 goal margin. The only game that was an exception was the rested team they played on the weekend.
Reims are sitting just a few points above the relegation zone and while they have grabbed 7 points out of a potential 15 in their last 5 games, but have struggled away from home winning just 3 games in their last 12; but will feel a little confidence knowing they drew the first game of the season with PSG and have kept the games close over the last few seasons. However, today this Reims team is much different then before. They have struggled with goal scoring and now with many injuries as N’Gog, Siebatcheu, Bulot, Rodriguez, Kyei & Traore all out due to injury. Reims might throw caution to the wind in this game, as battle for a draw might not be the approach against the team that has a 24 point lead at the top.
I expect Reims to try and take the attacking to PSG, and that could leave them wide open at the back and PSG to rely on strong home fans support to win this game well by a minimum of a 2 goal margin; so I am backing them on the Asian Handicap.
Bayern to beat Darmstadt @ 1.67 (888Sport) – 3 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)
