Posting a tip for Super Sunday days in advance due to the great price on offer, that will be sure to slip come kick off time.
Juventus are experiencing a renaissance after struggling for the opening few weeks of the Serie A Season. They have now won 6 straight games in Serie A; and that has seen them move from the bottom half of the table towards 4th spot to be within 4 points of leaders Inter Milan. Should they win and results go their way; they can move into 2nd spot today. Juventus form has been as a result of their attacking prowess led by Dybala, Manduzkic, Morata and Pogba. The 4 of them together have managed to create and score opportunities for the team despite all the difficulties surrounding them. They have beaten most teams that have come their way and now on a 3 game winning streak away from him, which will build their confidence heading into this game.
Carpi are the new kids on the block, and while they were bullied around for the opening part of the sea on; they managed to improve and get a few points their way; 10 to be precise; but not enough to move them out of the relegation zone. Their struggles come both offensively (netting only 13 goals) and defensively (leaking a league worse 30 goals). The team has toiled against some of the better sides, only to come on the wrong side of results.
Carpi have lost to all the big sides but kept the results closer; but I expect Juventus to showcase their recent turn around in form and find couple of goals to win this game by.
Atletico Madrid are in top form heading into this game and victory could move them to the top of the La Liga. Form is clearly on Madrid’s side as they have won 9 games in all competition and are undefeated in 15 straight games. They have topped their qualifying group also in the Champions League and progressed through the next round of the Copa del Rey. The unity that Simeone has built in the squad despite them having to sell of many of their players has been something of an brilliance. The team has been keeping the defence extremely tight leaking 3 goals in their last 9 games; while leaking only 7 goals in the entire La Liga season.
Malaga are battling towards the relegation zone, and their poor offence performance is clearly to blame for their poor run of form scoring just 9 goals in 15 games. Without enough goals to score, there is no chance any team can progress towards winning in any league. They have been struggling with just 1 victory in their last 6 games; and they host a title contender in Atletico Madrid.
Malaga will feel home comforts can help them as they have drawn 2 and won 1 of their last 3 home games against Atletico Madrid; but with Atletico’s defence in prime forma and Malaga struggling to find the net; I am backing Atletico to put in a solid performance with a victory tonight.
