The NBA season is back tonight, and we go straight in early on this time with a pick in order to try and take advantage of some poor lines early on.
Minnesota have been playing well in recent weeks and are finally showing some glimpses of maturity if they are able to ensure they take high percentage shots instead of bombing shots from downtown in 3-point territory. They have a problem in having their youngsters deliver it good in the 4th quarter, and that is something that they will discover with a few more performance as the years go along. Minnesota rely mostly on Towns, Wiggins and Rubio from their starting lineup to deliver a good starting impact. As far as experience counts, they have 2 former NBA Champions in Garnett and Prince as well as veteran Kevin Martin to count on.
The Lakers have been a mess in what is now the Kobe Bryant Farewell Tour; where he is getting his usual 31 minutes per game, so that their opponents can see him play one last time. This has resulted now in Scott deciding to move their 2 future superstars in Randle and Russell to the bench, which has got the 2 players frustrated; and will soon lead to some disharmony in the team. The Lakers look like they are playing for the lottery along with Philadelphia; which would then give them 3 potential superstars for the future. The team are notting in offensive field goals, shooting percentage; bottom 3 in points conceded per game; and nothing is looking positive for this team.
Minnesota should hold on to their home court advantage and pull out a victory in this game.
