The NBA season is back tonight, and we go straight in early on this time with a pick in order to try and take advantage of some poor lines early on.
The Wolves have showed some tough gritty performances with Wiggins and Towns working on establishing a partnership to be the 1-2 on this team with LaVine and Rubio giving support in the back court.
But Wiggins has truly had a break out season this season already averaging 22 points per game this season. He has picked up steam in the recent period averaging 24 points per game over the last 10 games. Wiggins form has been due to the fact he has improved on his jumper as well slowly stretching his range to the 3-point line. He has been knocking around one 3-pointer per game; and occasionally stretching that to two; out of an average of 3 attempts. He has been taking around 17 shots per game, and knocking down at least 8. Because he is also a strong dunker and extremely quick on the fast break; he tends to get fouled at the rack a lot, and attempts almost 9 free throws per game, knocking down 7.
If Wiggins just plays his average game, he should be able to get his 22 points per game as per his average. Tonight he takes on a combination of Aminu-McCollom-Harkless-Crabbe who have not been the best of defenders so far this season. They have leaked out a lot of points against opponents like Butler (22), Miles (27), Matthews (18), Redick (14) and Bryant (21).
I am pretty confident Wiggins will land his points against the Blazers especially in front of their home fans.
