Back to SUPER SUNDAY for all our entertainment. One can expect this to be a truly great outing with some exciting encounters, which we look to make a profit out of.
Fiorentina host Empoli after a run of strong performances before the international break winning 4 straight games by at least a 2 goal margin. Fiorentina sit now at the top of the Serie A table grabbing 27 points from 12 games. The main reason for their success has been their offence as they are now the 2nd leading scorer in the Serie A with 24 goals. The goals for Fiorentina have been primarily been scored by Kalinić (7), Babacar (4) and Iličić (4). They have scored 15 out of the 24 goals that Fiorentina have scored, showcasing the importance of them to the Fiorentina lineup. Fiorentina have showed that they can turn up the heat particularly at home scoring more goals at home than away. Fiorentina’s defence has been pretty good, conceding less than a goal per game.
Empoli come into this game knowing that they are sitting in the bottom half of the table, but are experienced to score goals. Their games have 31 goals in 12 so far, showing us that there can be excitement in their games if they need to. Empoli have taken on some tough teams like Roma, Juventus, Udinese, Milan and scored goals against all of them, so there is no shortage of offensive talent on their side. Empoli’s scoring has been led by Saponara and Maccarone; who have 7 goals amongst them.
This game will be an entertaining one as Empoli are a team who like to take the attack to the opposition no matter who they are, and one can expect an entertaining encounter with goals in them.
Athletic Bilbao come into this encounter looking to continue their run of 5 straight victories in all competitions beating teams like Partizan (twice), Betis, Gijon, Espanyol and now travel away to Granada in search of another victory to potentially move them into the top 5 in La Liga.
Bilbao come into this game with Inaki Williams, Aduriz and Raul Garcia scoring a lot of goals, scoring 14 out of the 18 goals that Bilbao has netted so far. In fact Inaki has been on fire netting in his last 3 games straight; which will give the young forward confidence heading into this game. Bilbao as an offensive unit have scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their 11 games played so far, so one can expect them to turn on the offence. Bilbao have won 5 out of the 12 games they have played so far, and will want to go away to Granda to try and leak out a victory against a team that is sitting in 19th spot in the table.
Granada are struggling really badly and their biggest problem has been defence leaking 20 goals in 11 games so far. Granda have had teams like Villareal, Sociedad and Eibar come to their home floor and beat them by a 2 goal margin; showcasing the struggles that they have had. In fact they have failed to win a single game at home this campaign. Granada however, like to score goals, showcasing their efforts they make to try and survive this season. Granada have scored in 5 straight games now; and will be looking to replicate a similar performance as they have in their last few games.
Both teams to score would have landed in all of Granada’s last 5 games in La Liga, while it would land up in 4 out of the last 5 games of Bilbao; so I expect both teams to go for goals and score at least 2 to secure a push, and 3 goals would land us in the profit.
