We are back to club league football action starting this weekend with FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Aubamayeng has been the leader of the offence for Dortmund over the past 2 seasons, but he has not had as major of an impact as he has done this season. The Gabon forward has scored 14 goals this season to lead all league scorers around Europe this campaign.
Aubamayeng has been sitting up front by himself, and the speed he has gives him the benefit of breaking on the counter attack and then finishing it off sublimely. He can rely on a great offence set up at Dortmund under Tuschel who has seen him play Reus, Kagawa and Mikhtariyan behind him to create plenty of opportunities for him either through crosses, passing and even though the pace on the counter attack as all of them are extremely quick. Aubamayeng has been given the penalty taking opportunities for this team, which also gives him additional chances to score. Aubamayeng has scored 9 goals in 8 games since 4th October, and once can expect his good run to continue tonight.
Dortmund take on a Hamburg team that has been sitting in the lower half of the table, and leaked 16 goals in the 12 games so far. They have conceded goals against teams who are poorer than them in the last 3 including Hoffenheim, Darmstadt and Hannover. They have only won 1 game over the last 5 and take on a Dortmund team full of confidence; and I expect them to struggle defensively tonight.
