The NBA season is back tonight, and we go straight in early on this time with a pick in order to try and take advantage of some poor lines early on.

NBA Basketball
MIA Heat -3.5 to beat HOU Rockets @ 1.80 (Bet365) – 3 points

The Houston Rockets will struggle extremely badly in the middle due to 3 key players missing out in Howard, Jones and Motiejunas. This leaves the Rockets extremely vulnerable with only Clint Capela, Montrezl Harrell and the recently signed Chuck Hayes playing for them. They have lost 2 straight games with a 20 point loss to Denver and a 10 point loss to Golden State. The Rockets have relied a lot on the 3-point ball, and have not been shooting it well as they average 22% for their efforts so far this campaign. James Harden who was Runners-Up in the MVP race last season and only scored 16 and 22 points so far. Lawson has been the only one that has chipped in with some points; but without more contributions especially down the middle, it will look unlikely for them to come up with a win.

The Miami Heat will be looking to build on the victory that they had on opening night against Charlotte and the good performance they put on against Cleveland until they lost the game in 2 quarters alone. The Heat will feel confident as they will expect their big men in Whiteside and Bosh to dominate the inside with the 3 big men of the Heat missing out. Dwayne Wade has been looking fitter than ever and will likely lead his team to a solid performance again as he has been averaging 22.5 points per game in his opening 2 encounters. The bench of the Heat also looks more solid with the likes of Green, Winslow, Stoudemire, Chalmers and McRoberts as compared to Beverley, Cappella, McDaniels, Dekker and Terry.

Backing Miami to win this game should be on the cards for everyone tonight.
