With the Euro2016 qualifying campaign now heading to the 2nd half; all the teams are looking to push for victory in order to secure their spot for next years 1st round proper in France. We look to grab some value form some good tips and make some money.
Scotland come into the game against Georgia as heavy favourites despite playing away from home in this encounter. Scotland will be motivated to go after the victory especially since it will help them to possibly move into 2nd spot if results go their way elsewhere. They come into this game with their forwards in top form for their respective clubs including Griffiths & Martin. The midfield boast some of the most talented players that are playing in England league football today including Darren Fletcher, James Morrison, James McArthur & Sean Maloney. Scotland have already shown their capabilities in this group with 11 points from 6 games, with just 1 loss coming against Germany, which they had the potential to win also.
Georgia have been struggling this campaign; and it won’t be a surprise to anyone if they get beaten tonight to end their hopes of qualifying even 3rd out of this group. The only victory they have had was against newcomers Gibraltar, which they only won 3-0 as compared to most of their opponents in the same group. Georgian players are finally getting recognition and are playing in some of the top leagues around Europe; but have failed to produce a proven goalscorer that will help them on their way to qualify.
Scotland on paper look extremely strong and should do their squad and country justice by qualifying out of this group at least to the playoffs; and victory will be needed here especially with the Republic of Ireland hot on their heels.
Euro 2016 Qualifying
Aremnia AH+1 to beat Serbia @ 2.16 (888Sport) – 2 points
Armenia to beat Serbia @ 8.00 (888Sport) – 0.5 points
H Mikhtaryan to score @ 5.00 (888Sport) – 0.5 points
Armenia come into this qualifying group with barely any chance of qualifying to the next stage but will be extra keen to perform and try to beat Serbia who area already eliminated from qualifying for Euro2016 due to the points that were deducted in the game against Albania, who have now moved on to 10 points as a result.
Armenia have performed decently well in this group campaign; and its their in-experience only that leads them to struggle in such games. They started out well against Denmark going 1-0 up; before eventually losing by a score of 2-1. They then moved on to draw 1-1 with tonight’s opponents Serbia, who were lucky to steal a draw in the 89th minute. They then narrowly lost 1-0 to Portugal, took a 1-0 lead against Albania before losing it late 2-1. They then played Portugal again and had a tight 3-2 loss. With experience building up for this side, its quite easy to see that they have been able to find the back of the net in all but 1 game, and will be going all out to try and give it a go against Serbia to try and sneak into the 3rd spot, which will be very difficult.
Serbia have had their troubles, and most of their players playing tonight will be just playing for pride and will be hoping to showcase something to manager Radovan Curcic as potential players for the future especially when the World Cup Qualifying campaign starts next year. They have lost 4 out of the 5 games played so far this campaign; with only a 1-1 draw against tonights opponents Armenia as the only points they earned.
Backing Armenia with a +1 Asian handicap line will look to be extremely profitable and refunded at worst in their 4 games so far, but would have paid out against Serbia in case they lose by 1 goal.
Euro 2016 Qualifying
Northern Ireland to beat Faroe Islands @ 1.75 (Bet365) – 2.5 points
Northern Ireland will come into this game against the Faroe Islands knowing that victory will put them in the driver’s seat in order to qualify to the qualify to the 1st round proper in the Euro2016 championships. They have started out their campaign well winning 4 games, while losing 1 and drawing the other one. Their solitary loss against Romania was one that game due to lapses in concentration late on, when they lost 2 goals in the last 5 minutes.
Northern Ireland have beaten Faroe Islands last time around by a score of 2-0 owing to goals from Jamie Ward and Kyle Lafferty. Their success this campaign has been due to the goal scoring prowess of Lafferty who has scored 5 goals to lead all scorer in this group. Lafferty will again lead the line tonight potential and he will expect to get some top service from his midfield bunch of Brunt, Davis, Evans and Norwood. The defence of Northern Ireland should hold up to anything that Faroe Islands can shoot back against them with Hughes, Baird, McAuley & Evans as the strong back 4.
Faroe Islands have struggled against Greece to thank for their 2 victories in the campaign so far. Faroe Islands squad don’t have a solid goalscorer that they can depend in to give them consistent goals, which is why they have only netted 5 goals in their campaign so far from 5 different scorer. Most of their squad are playing in Faroe, Denmark or Norway; and haven’t been exposed to top quality football like the Northern Ireland chaps.
One would expect Northern Ireland to try and secure a regulation victory, probably by a 1-0 scoreline for them to seal all the points and go one step closer to qualifying for Euro 2016.
