Entering the final month of the football season, let’s try and make as much money as we can before we shut up shop for the summer, so keep following and grab some profit winning tips.
England Premier League
All 3pm Premier League games to go Over 1.5 goals @ 5.00 (Betfair) – 1.5 points
Defoe and Kane to score anytime @ 8.00 (Betfair) – 1 point
Southampton v Aston Villa – Both Teams to Score @ 1.90 (Betfair) – 2.5 points
Aston Villa travel away to Southampton in search of goal to push for their 5th win in 6 games; with their only loss in that period of time coming against Manchester City by a goal of 3-2. Villa have been in great scoring form during this period, netting 9 goals in their last 5 games; with Benteke, Delph and Cleverely being among the goals during that period of time. What makes a good claim to form is that Sherwood is making them play attacking football as was seen from their goal scoring form against West Ham, Everton, Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United in the last 7 games. For them to score looks extremely likely considering their current form.
Southampton are looking to close the season in good form especially in their last home game for the season, but other than the poor performance last time around against a super motivated Leicester, they have been in good scoring touch netting in 4 out of their last 5 games. With a front 3 of Elia, Mane and Pelle; one will definitely expect one of these Saints players to net a goal as they will probably look for moves or an increased contract for next season.
The last time these 2 sides met landed up being a 1-1 result, and prior to that was also a 2-3 result. There always seems to be chances of goals when these 2 sides meet and especially with Villa looking for goals and Southampton looking to seal off a great season in good form; both teams to score, seems to be a shoo in to close off the season.
Tottenham v Hull City – Kane Anytime Scorer @ 2.00 (Bet365) – 2 points
With Tottenham struggling in the last few games to get a result, most of the issues has come due to the lack of scoring touch by Harry Kane. Kane has failed to net in his last 3 games against decent opposition such as Man City, Tottenham and Stoke City. This week however, they welcome Hull City to the Lane, and will be in search of the full 3 points in what will be their last game at home for this season.
Kane in particular will want to put in a solid performance, after discussions regarding a potential transfer to Man Utd has emerged with a 45 million pound enquiry. With some United scouts expected to be in the crowd, one will expect Harry to put in a top performance this weekend. With 2 games to go also, he is has slipped out of the golden boot race; but he will desperately want to come 2nd ahead of Diego Costa to sure up his credentials going into next season.
Hull City his opponents tonight haven’t been able to do well in recent weeks, on a losing track for most of the campaign and look the favorites of the remaining teams for relegation. The only away victories that they have got all season has been against Crystal Palace, QPR and Sunderland; all of whom have conceded 50 plus goals for the season.
Kane will be looking to sign off the season in style in front of the home fans, and with Tottenham looking to seal up a Europa League spot; it will be critical that they sow up the victory tonight with Kane on the scoresheet.
Sunderland v Leicester City – Both Teams to Score @ 1.85 (Betfair) – 2.5 points
When there is a relegation dog-fight going on in the Premier League; then you would have to expect it not to be a particular cagey affair, especially when you need to win in order to seal your own fate. That is exactly what is going to happen in this game between Sunderland and Leicester City.
Sunderland come into this game after winning 2 on the bounce under pressure of relegation and manage to deliver successfully by beating Everton and Southampton in back to back games. They have finally managed to find goals, which was something that they were lacking in their ability to win games. With a 4-3-3 formation now that is seeing Defoe up front with Wickham and Graham; things have been a bit more attacking and open for Sunderland.
They welcome to this game an in-form Leicester City team who have won 6 out of their last 7 games, which could potentially Nigel Pearson provide the greatest escape in Premier League history. They have showed even against good opposition if they put in hard work, with the team playing for each other and everyone motivated to try and win; things can happen positively, which happened in the last few games.
Both teams have been in scoring form, netting in their last 5 games each no matter how good the opposition is. In theory, a 1-1 draw is a perfect result for both teams as long as Newcastle and Hull fail to pick up positive results; and I expect both teams will net and potentially a draw.
