UEFA Champions League
Juventus v Real Madrid – Both Teams to Score @ 1.90 (Betfair) – 3 points

Real Madrid host Juventus after a tough 2-2 draw with Valencia following a poor loss 2-1 to Juventus and before that a struggling 3-2 win over Valencia. Real Madrid showed us on the weekend, why they are extremely vulnerable on the defensive end, as well as how poor they play while missing a few key players. Benzema and Modric – 2 of their key starting XI have been injured and unable to play games over the last few weeks. Benzema is fit and in the squad and will all likely start up front in this important fixture at home. Ronaldo struggled to find the net on the weekend, although he missed a sitter of a penalty, but scored last week against Juventus. Ramos will continue to deputise in midfield while Varane and Pepe will hold the defensive line together.

Juventus can also look to the form of 3 key players Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Arturo Vidal who have been superb going forward, able to push on for the goals and create them in the most difficult of times from the most difficult of angles as well. They will also be ready to welcome back the influential midfielder Paul Pogba who really treated us to a cracking goal on the weekend. While they have been extremely solid with their results, they have also managed to rest a few players with this fixture in mind. Defensive the back 3 of Bonucci, Barzagli and Chiellini have been solid for most of the campaign, but they are bit slower than many others, and are liable to be caught on the break, which Madrid will be looking for. Andrea Pirlo could be playing in his last Champions League game in Italy, so he and the fans will be looking forward to a masterclass performance from the defensive midfielder as he always tends to dictate the pac of games he plays in.

Last time these 2 sides met, Juventus won 2-1 this year and in previous campaign last year; Madrid won 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu and drew 2-2 in Turin, and in both those encounters saw the 2 sides land up on the scoring sheet, as it has been for a lot of Madrid games this campaign because of their poor defense and I expect a similar scene for both teams to score tonight.
