Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore D Miller – 28 & Over Performance Points @ 1.83 (Bet365) – 3 points

David Miller has been a fairly consistent performer over the years in the IPL and this pick has been eluded because it hasn’t shown up too often on the market. Miller has been fairly consistent with his performances in the Kings XI Middle order; and especially with the absence of Maxwell, they have relied a lot on him to get runs. In some of their early batting collapses, they have often turned to him to rebuild. Miller infact has a career T20 batting average of 38 while an IPL average of 42, and frankly this market is superiorly under-priced. Additionally, Miller is frequently fielding at Long-On, Long-Off or Mid-Wicket where the ball tends to land a lot especially in the slog overs, and some how grabs a catch or 2 throughout his campaign. Miller showed us last time around what a consistent performer he can be with a swashbuckling 89 runs that could have nearly won the game for the Kings XI, only to lose by 5 runs. His performance so far this campaign have been as follows: v SRH: 89 points (89 runs) v KKR: 27 points (27 runs) v RCB: 7 points (7 runs) v MI: 43 points (43 runs) v DD: 42 points (42 runs) v SRH: 35 points (15 runs, 2 catches) v CSK: 13 points (3 runs, 1 catch) v RR: 54 points (54 runs) v DD: 5 points (5 runs) v MI: 34 points (24 runs, 1 catch) v RR: 33 points (23 runs, 1 catch) I expect Miller to knock off these runs on his bat itself as he has been in imperious form recently and will be looking to turn around the poor 7 runs that he scored against Bangalore last time around, but incase he might also grab a few catches, which he has been strangely not in the loop in for the recent weeks. ——————————————————————
