Looking to grab on some early lines today to continue the decent run on the NBA picks we are having now.

NBA Basketball
GS Warriors Over 59 HT Points v SAC Kings @ 1.90 (Bet365) – 2.5 points
GS Warriors Over 57.5 2H Points v SAC Kings @ 1.90 (Bet365) – 2.5 points

The Golden State Warriors love playing at home, where they have notched over 115 points in 4 consecutive games, and will be looking to make it 5th in a row when they battle the struggling Sacramento Kings at the Oracle Arena. More importantly, their form in the 1st half is what sets up the second half of their game as they have averaged 57 points per game which inevitably leads them to a good margin of victory where their starters can rest in the 2nd half.

The beautiful thing about this game against Sacramento Kings is that they average 59 points per game at home in the 1st half, and averaging 60 points over the stretch of their last 4 games. the Warriors scored 64 points in the 1st half against the Kings last time around as well.

Why you should back the Warriors also is looking at their stats, they lead the league in the highest margin of leading in the 1st half which is around 8 points; while they average 17 point margin in their last 3 games, and 13 point margin at home all season.

Klay Thompson, Steph Curry and Harrison Barnes in particular have been leading the team in scoring at half time, contributing nearly 50% of this scoring. Klay in particular would be among the highest 1st half scorers along with Harden and Westbrook; and his contribution is invaluable. The bench strength of the Warriors when compared to the Kings also helps when you look for points in the 2nd quarter with the likes of Iguadola, Lee, Barbosa, Holiday, Livingston, Speights among a strong second unit to help the team continue building their scoring momentum.

This is a bet that I personally back almost every Warriors game, and almost lands every game; but today I finally found that MarathonBet is offering the pick before the game unlike other websites.

TOR Raptors -9 to beat PHI 76ers @ 1.67 (Bet365) – 3 points

The Toronto Raptors come into town against the Philadelphia 76ers looking to step up their performances after going 3-7 in their last 10 games, and need to step up to get back towards the top of the Eastern Conference where they are 7.5 games back now.

With the re-addition of DeMar DeRozan; the team should look more confident heading into these games despite his poor showing scoring 6 points in the last game. With the run of games to play against teams under .500; you would expect him to explode for some points to get some form for his team that depends on him. Kyle Lowry has been voted as an All-Star starer, so his confidence will be high and looking forward to putting in a great show tonight against the struggling 76ers.

The 76ers have been extremely poor especially on the offensive end where they have failed to cross 100 points for their 19th straight game, and unless you put up points on the board to make up for your defensive problem. Noel, Carter-Willams and Covington are their players in their starting 5, who the team will look to build around for the coming years. However, if you lose to a poor team like New York by 7 points; one can only imagine the damage that will come against a Toronto team who are desperate for confidence and a huge pump up victory.

The 2 wins by Raptors over the 76ers this season have been by 16 and 32 points so far, so one can expect them to put in similar performance tonight for a crushing victory.

CLE Cavaliers Over 101 points v CHA Hornets @ 1.90 (MarathonBet) – 2.5 points

The Cleveland Cavaliers are finally back healthy, manage to put up a run of 4 consecutive victories, and score over 106 points per game in all of those 4 outings. The reason for that is the King is back, James has been on fire since his return averaging 30 points per game over his last 5 games. They also have got Irving playing well, Kevin Love back doing his outlet passes to James and scoring as well; and the addition of JR Smith to the scoring punch and Mozgov on the defensive end, surely has helped things along.

What is going to make things even better for the Cleveland crowd is that Iman Shumpert is expected to make his season debut tonight which will add another dimension of defense as well as scoring for the 2nd unit along with the likes of Miller, Marion, Thompson, Delladova, Jones among an decent bench to help you maintain momentum. The Cavaliers are also averaging 101 points per game for the campaign; and mainly need to improve one area on the offense which is their 3 point shooting, where they average 34% for 19th spot in the league.

The Charlotte Hornets have built up a small winning streak beating struggling teams like Miami, Indiana and Minnesota; but overall have been extremely poor going 7-12 on the road. They have been giving up 98 points per game on the road; as compare to 96 at home; and their away blues is a clear reason for their failings. The last time the teams played in Cleveland, the Cavaliers were struggling offensively and managed only 97 points, but with an upgraded roster, they should turn things around this time. Minor injuries to Jefferson, Walker might impact their ability on the defensive end.
