SOCCER Saturday starts of in November, and I am hoping to focus now with some solid picks after a lot of research preparing for this weekend.

England Premier League
Newcastle to beat QPR @ 1.91 (Betfair) – 2.5 points

The Newcastle United team are coming into this fixture in hot form with a 4 game winning streak in the Premier League with a 5 game winning streak in all competitions, which is the best form among many the Premier League teams in the last 5 games. What is good about this streak is they have beaten some quality opposition like Tottenham, Man City and Liverpool which gives them confidence at home when they are to take on a QPR side that have won just 2 games all season.

Newcastle led by Le Pardieu have turned the bucket in the last few games and have now pushed themselves all the way 8th spot in the table. They have put in a solid team effort but a few injuries today will slightly impact that rhythm with Coloccini, Taylor, Tiote and Aarons. The goal scoring exploits of Cisse and in particular Ayoze Perez, who has scored 3 goals in his last 3 appearances and all of them landed up being winning goals in those encounters.

QPR have put in some brave performances but have not got results to go their way other than the one victory at home to a struggling Aston Villa side. Away from home this side has shown to be a complete liability losing all 5 of their games scoring 2 but conceding 14 in that time. Defensive liability has been the main cause for concern as the partnership between Caulker, Dunne, Green has struggled to get a good understanding between them. Offensively Charlie Austin has been playing well, and he might be expected to score in this game considering his current form, but he has been off for 2 weeks, so will have to see if he still maintains that hot streak.

Newcastle are stronger at home then they are away and after beating some quality sides, I expect them to hold out for another victory tonight.

Spain La Liga
Real Madrid AH-2 to beat Eibar @ 1.88 (Pinnacle) – 2.5 points

Real Madrid have been cracking form winning 13 games in a row, with most of their games being an easy smashing by over 3 goal winning margin with 9 out of those 13 games being by that result. Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema have been in cracking scoring form, and in particular Ronaldo who has scored 18 goals in 10 games including 7 goals in 7 games straight, and he will be expected to continue his scoring run, and looking to grab a record in the La Liga for the most goals in a season. Defensively Real madrid have improved slightly conceding only 5 goals in their last 11 games which will stand them in good stead.

Eibar have been an average team, but still managed to get around the 11th spot despite just being promoted this season. Mikel Arruabarrena has been the only major threat for them scoring 4 goals, out of which 3 have been in the last 2 games alone. They haven’t racked up any major upsets so far this campaign; and I expect they won’t be troubling this strong Madrid side tonight.

Real Madrid to smash them out of the park.
