Liverpool and Chelsea face off in the biggest game this weekend in the Premier League, and I am looking at taking the early odds to get good value ahead of this fixture on Saturday at the lunch time kick off.

England Premier League
Chelsea AH-0.25 to beat Liverpool @ 1.95 (Betfair) – 2.5 points

Chelsea and Liverpool head into this game after last seasons dramatics that saw Chelsea beat Liverpool at home and smash their chances of winning their 1st title in 24 years.

They have drawn only 4 games this campaign which was against Maribor, Schalke, Man City and Man Utd and will look to continue their great scoring form as they have done despite just 1 fit striker at times. When we look at the league, they have got 26 points in 10 games with 8 wins and 2 draws. Chelsea will have a fresh Diego Costa available this weekend as he was rested in mid-week in the Champions League and will be looking to create an impression after going scoreless for a few games now. Chelsea will continue to do what they do best in big games, score one goal and then park the bus. However, this year they did it twice away from home against Man City and Man Utd, and had to share the spoils eventually. I expect Mourinho’s men to go for 2 goals early on before deciding to sit on their lead.

Liverpool on the other hand have been extremely passive in recent weeks. They have won just once in their last 5 games and that too in the League Cup. They have been struggling for goals especially since Balotelli hasn’t fired up well, not netting a single Premier League goal in his team with the Merseyside outfit. Defensively Liverpool have been simply awful keeping just 1 clean sheet in their last 14 games, which was a 0-0 draw against Hull City. Liverpool would love to repeat their feats of last season, but have been unable to get to that level this year and they badly need to change their attacking lineup to get in Lambert or Borini to help because the experiment with Balotelli has simply failed.

Chelsea and Mourinho won this match up twice last year; and I expect them to come hard at Liverpool looking to steal another victory. I take this game on the Asian Handicap for a bit of insurance.
