SOCCER Saturday starts of in November, and I am hoping to focus now with some solid picks after a lot of research preparing for this weekend.

England Premier League
West Ham DNB to beat Stoke City @ 2.28 (MarathonBet) – 3 points

West Ham will come into this game full of confidence aiming for a good victory after a solid performance against Man City last week. A similar performance will help West Ham remain in the top 4 this weekend, and I think based on their current form this looks very likely.

Hammers have been outstanding going forward relying on Valencia, Sakho and Downing up front. This has helped them in what was the major problem area for them in scoring goals. Sam Allardyce had to change around his team and his style of play, instead of direct, for more flair, strong winger play and through balls. The player who has blossomed most in this change in style has been Downing, who has been given a free role behind the strikers to roam around to create the ball as he sees fit.

Stoke City have been a pretty average team this campaign, losing twice to Southampton this week and after a long game in the Capital One Cup, I think this game comes too early for them especially when most of the squad played in mid-week. The biggest problem coming for Stoke has been their ability to score goals as they have only scored 8 goals in 9 games. Defensively they have been average in their performances this campaign and have relied a lot on random players to net for them.

Hammers could probably nick this game, and I back them on DNB for safety.

Arsenal AH-1.5 to beat Burnley @ 1.85 (Betfair) – 2.5 points

Arsenal come into this game after a decent run of 2 successive victories after losing and drawing a lot of games in the middle. They have finally returned to some scoring form, netting 2 in their last 3 games in a row now, and will be looking to repeat a similar performance to the 2-0 over Sunderland last week.

Whilst Arsenal have a lot of injuries; they will still rely a lot on forwards Sanchez, Welbeck and Cazorla to come up with the goals for them. Defensively they still have a lot of injuries but defended well as a team to help them win in their last 2 outings. A lot of stability of the back 4 relies on Mertersacker, Chambers, Monreal and Gibbs in this defensive, and they are slowly getting adjusted to each other and that showed a great performance holding a clean sheet last week.

Burnley have been struggling, look certain for the drop in my eyes, having not won a single game so far this campaign. They got trounced 3-1 by West Ham and Everton at home, so expect a similar kind of performance as they travel to the Emirates to take on Arsenal. Burnley have conceded 16 goals in 9 games, and the Arsenal attack will be licking their lips to win this game in order to push into the top 4.

Arsenal to win this game quite comfortably against a struggling Burnley outfit.

Chelsea AH-1 to beat QPR @ 1.50 (Bet365) – 2 points
Chelsea v QPR – Costa/Chelsea Anytime Wincast @ 1.70 (888Sport) – 2 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)

Spain La Liga
Real Madrid (race to 3 goals) v Granada @ 1.85 (Ladbrokes) – 3 points

Real Madrid look in cracking form recently and this week they welcome back Ronaldo after being rested in mid-week for the Kings Cup. They have smashed 3 goals in their last 5 games in a row, and will be looking for a similar kind of performance with the up-coming exciting encounter in the Champions League coming against Liverpool.

Real have scored 4,3,3,5,5 in their last 5 games and Ronaldo has netted in each game that he has played this campaign; and will be aiming to continue this performance as he will look to create a new record for himself.

Granada have been absolutely rubbish losing 4 out of their last 5 games against a lot of average sides including Eibar, Malaga, Vallecano and got smashed 6-0 by Barcelona. Granada are among the worst teams defensively conceding 13 in the season with 11 in the last 5 games.

Real Madrid should have a lot in tank for Granada and I expect Madrid to give a 4 or 5 goal thrashing in this game.
