SUPER SUNDAY football is back in October, and we have a truly exciting lined up this week.

England Premier League
Chelsea to beat Man Utd @ 2.50 (William Hill) – 3 point
Chelsea Over 1.5 goals @ 2.20 (888Sport) – 2 points
Man Utd v Chelsea – BTTS @ 1.91 (Betfair) – 3 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)

Chelsea come into this game sitting at the top of the Premier League table with a 5 point difference with bitter rivals Man City with a game in hand. Today travelling away to the other half of Manchester, Chelsea will be looking upon this opportunity to take on a slightly struggling United team to grab all 3 points.

Man Utd isn’t much of a team especially without their talismanic captain Wayne Rooney in the lineup. With him starting it adds the extra intensity that rubs off on a lot of other players in the squad and they then tend to work that much more harder to push on for victory. Last time out they were extremely lucky to snatch a late draw against West Brom, but this Chelsea team will not leave them.

Chelsea are in hot form now and infact have not lost a competitive fixture since the 1-0 defeat in the Champions League semi-final way back in April. With hit man Diego Costa expected to start up front despite a late fitness test, it will automatically give a huge boost to a side in the goalscoring department. Aside from Costa the recent exploits of Fabregas, Schurrle, Hazard, Oscar have shown that there are goals to be had from mid-field as well, and that should be equally dangerous for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have struggled in this meeting not beating the London side since October 2012 when Sir Alex was at the helm. Van Gaal will probably set his troops out to attack and out-score Chelsea but the Chelsea defense has held well keeping 4 straight clean sheets against Manchester and conceded only 1 goal in their last 5 competitive fixtures.

Chelsea should nick this game owing more to their defensive ability than their offensive one.

Everton to beat Burnley @ 1.91 (Betfair) – 2.5 points
Everton Over 1.5 goals @ 1.83 (888Sport) 2.5 points

Everton head into this game looking to grab the full 3 points as they aim to continue their climb back to the top half of the table. A win today for the Toffees will see them push back into 9th place and that will be the momentum that Martinez needs to carry into games against Swansea, Sunderland and West Ham.

Everton have shown to improve their defenses a lot in recent week with 2 back to back clean sheets. Today they face the weakest attacking team in the league with 4 goals in 8 games in Burnley, and knowing if they keep a shut out at the back, their attacking lineup has the strength to find goals. With inspirational forwards such as Lukaku, Etoo, Naismith, Mirallas, Pienaar and the returning Barkley, the Baggies should have enough firepower in them to find the net.

Burnley have struggled everywhere be it defense or attack. They sit bottom of the Premier League table with a -9 goal difference having conceded 13 goals in 8 games. They have yet to win a Premier League game all campaign but held out for 4 draws that helped to push them above the last spot in the table. Burnley got trounced last time by West Ham, and I expect Martinez’s men to come out with a similar performance in the game this week.

Everton to shade this game probably by a 2 goal margin.

Spain La Liga
Atletico Madrid Over 1.5 Team goals v Getafe @ 1.83 (Bet365) – 2.5 points
Sevilla to beat Villareal @ 2.20 (Betfair) – 2 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)

After having a couple of low scoring games against Valencia and Juventus, Atletico Madrid have finally got their goal scoring boots back in action netting twice against Espanyol and Malmo; and will be aim to carry that form coming into this game.

Atletico Madrid know that victory in this game against Getafe will push them back into the top 4; and with Barcelona dropping points yesterday, they would be within 2 points of leaders Real Madrid and Barcelona. Striker Manduzkic has found form recently netting twice in his last 3 appearances for the team. The beautiful thing about Atletico Madrid has been that if one of the forwards is unable to find the net, someone from the team find a way to score. The collective team effort is what won the trophy for Atletico Madrid last year; and they will aim to continue with similar team efforts as they go in search of getting back to the top of the table in La Liga.

Their opponents Getafe have conceded a goal in all barring 2 games (which they won) against weaker opposition. However, when they have faced some quality teams like Sevilla and Valencia they lost 2-0 and 3-0 respectively. They haven’t found a way to handle the bigger teams. Atletico Madrid will draw confidence in these poor performances against good sides and their own 5 goal exploit in mid-week should have all the players in the right mindset to find goals.

Expecting Atletico Madrid to do this simple task of netting 2 goals tonight.

Portugal Primera Liga
Benfica to beat Braga @ 2.10 (Betfair) – 2 points (#INPLAYMAGIC)
