UEFA Champions League

Real Madrid to beat Liverpool @ 1.85 (Betfair) – 3 points
Real Madrid v Liverpool – Ronaldo Anytime Goalscorer @ 1.83 (Betfair) – 2 points

Real Madrid come into this game in extremely good goal scoring form 39 goals themselves in just 12 games and are on a 7 game winning streak heading into this game against Liverpool. Madrid might have one eye on the ‘El Classico’ on the weekend, but this is definitely not going to deter them from going to Anfield from taking a result. Madrid should have no problem containing with Bale’s injury as they have plenty of quality players at every position. Tonight they should have James Rodriguez move into Bale’s position on the wing, and Isco should slot right into James position behind Benzema. Ronaldo has been extremely hot form scoring in all but the Super Cup games so far this campaign, and you should definitely expect him to find the net, especially also since he takes a lot of free-kicks and penalties.

Liverpool come into this game after a great escape of a game against QPR where they literally stole the match with 30 seconds to go. Liverpool have been extremely poor this season owing to the absence of Sturridge through injury and Suarez through off-season transfer; which has thus seen their goals dry up. Mario Balotelli who has stepped in as the sole striker in most game has only scored one goal so far this season, but has not looked impactful at all. Liverpool defensively have been extremely poor conceding in all but 1 game this season against Tottenham. Last game week they lost 1-0 to Basel, which puts them in 3rd spot in group.

Real Madrid will come into this game extremely pumped up, looking to seal of a victory, probably in the first half as they would like to silence this loud Anfield crowd. With Liverpool soo poor these days, it looks extremely likely for this to land, and I won’t be surprised if Ronaldo leads a rout here.
